A collection of 20 vintage Edison Blue Amberol cylinder records, an early 20th-century audio format produced by Thomas A. Edison, Inc. between 1912 and 1929. These records are constructed of blue celluloid over a plaster core and aredesigned for a 4-minute playback speed. The collection primarily features early American comedy sketches and instrumental music. Legible titles and catalog numbers stamped into the beveled rims include 2357 War Talk at Pumpkin Center byCal Stewart, 26163 Souvenir of Moscow (Violin Solo), 4054 Dinnie Company, and Valse Pathetique by Vecsey. The lot contains multiple cylinders featuring Cal Stewart's Uncle Josh character and Pumpkin Center routines, along with recordingstitled Show Troupe at Pumpkin Center and Very Little Boy. Each record is paired with a cylindrical brown cardboard storage tube and lid. Several lids bear handwritten pencil and ink notations that correspond to the titles, such as 4th ofMedia: G to VG. Several cylinders exhibit surface mold and mildew (white spotting) which may affect playback quality. One cylinder shows significant deterioration and material loss to the internal plaster core.
