Signed Hopi miniature pottery bowl by Gaylene Tungovia, measuring approximately 2" tall x 2" wide. This small hand-crafted Pueblo pottery vessel features a warm reddish-brown clay body decorated with black geometric designs, including bold curved forms, triangular elements, fine parallel lines, stippled sections and abstract motifs wrapping around the exterior. The underside is hand signed “Gaylene Tungovia” and additionally marked “Tewa.” Its miniature size and detailed hand-painted decoration make it an attractive collectible example of Gaylene Tungovia pottery, Hopi pottery, Tewa pottery, Native American pottery, Pueblo ceramics, miniature pottery, Southwestern pottery, Arizona Indigenous art, hand-painted Pueblo pottery and signed Native American ceramics. Preowned with surface wear, scratches, rubbing and areas of pigment wear consistent with age and handling. There are also older handwritten markings on the underside.
