Signed Hopi pottery jar by Lora Silas, measuring approximately 2.5" tall x 2.5" wide. This petite hand-crafted Pueblo pottery vessel features a warm reddish-orange clay body decorated with bold black geometric and abstract designs. The decoration wraps continuously around the jar with sweeping curves, spirals, stepped elements, linear bands and dotted accents, creating a striking traditional Southwestern appearance. The underside is hand signed “Lora Silas,” identifying the Hopi artist. Its small scale makes this a wonderful example of miniature Hopi pottery and an appealing collectible for enthusiasts of Lora Silas pottery, Hopi pottery, Native American pottery, Pueblo ceramics, Arizona Indigenous art, Southwestern pottery, hand-painted pottery, miniature pottery jars, Southwest Native American art and signed Native American ceramics. Preowned with surface wear, scratches, rubbing and some wear to the painted decoration consistent with age and handling. Older handwritten inventory or price markings are also present on the underside. Please review all photographs for condition. Measures approximately 2.5" tall x 2.5" wide.
