Horsman Ruthie Vinyl Doll in Original Box

A vintage Irene Szor creation Horsman Ruthie doll featuring a fully jointed vinyl body and rooted blonde hair styled with curly bangs. This mid-century doll is equipped with blue sleep eyes and dark eyelashes that close when the doll is positioned horizontally. She appears in her original retail attire, which consists of a red and white horizontally striped bodice and a red satin-like skirt. The skirt is detailed with a white mesh overlay, two rows of white lace trim, a central band of red floral lace, and a red satin ribbon belt tied in a bow. Completing the ensemble are white mesh socks and white plastic Mary Jane style shoes. The doll remains secured to the inner cardboard backing with the original red ribbon tie. The piece is housed in its original retail display box which identifies it as an Irene Szor creation and features characteristic butterfly and floral graphics along with the Horsman manufacturer branding. Height: 14.5 inches. The doll is in excellent, unplayed condition with vibrant facial color and even skin tones. The original packaging shows expected shelf wear, including structural tears and general surface soiling consistent with age and storage.
