1896 Liberty Head V Nickel, struck at the Philadelphia Mint. This classic late-19th-century U.S. five-cent piece is a popular issue from the Liberty Head Nickel series and a great addition for collectors of early American coinage. Please review the photos for the exact condition, surfaces, strike, and overall appearance. The Liberty Head Nickel was designed by Charles E. Barber and was produced from 1883 through 1912. The obverse features Liberty surrounded by stars, while the reverse displays the Roman numeral “V” within a wreath.
