1889 Liberty Head V Nickel, struck at the Philadelphia Mint. This late-19th-century Liberty Nickel is a popular issue from the classic V Nickel series and an interesting addition for collectors of early U.S. five-cent pieces. Please review the photos for the exact condition, surfaces, strike, and overall appearance. The Liberty Head Nickel was designed by Charles E. Barber and was produced from 1883 through 1912. The obverse features Liberty surrounded by stars, while the reverse displays the Roman numeral “V” within a wreath.
