M. Gabankova. Still life painting executed in oil or heavy-body acrylic on Fredrix brand canvas board. The composition features a rustic tabletop arrangement including a bouquet of white and maroon flowers in a metallic vase, a white ceramic teapot with pink floral accents and gold-toned bands, a sliced loaf of crusty bread, a white ceramic teacup and saucer with a metal spoon, two elongated pastries, and a single apple. The work is rendered in a traditional representational style characterized by thick impasto and energetic brushwork, particularly evident in the rendering of the flower petals and the bread crust. Signed M. Gabankova in dark pigment in the lower right corner. The painting is housed in a multi-tiered wooden frame featuring a gold-toned inner fillet, a cream linen liner, and a dark wood-grain outer molding. The verso retains a manufacturer label for Fredrix canvas board. Board Dimensions (read from manufacturer label): 16 in x 20 in Framed Dimensions (read from visible tape measure): approx.
