An art gallery exhibition poster from the Art Gallery of Ontario featuring a colour reproduction of Henri Matisse's 'Le Bonheur de Vivre' (The Joy of Life). The Fauvist composition depicts multiple nude figures in various poses within a vibrant, non-naturalistic landscape of yellow, orange, and green fields under stylised trees. The print is presented in a cream-coloured mount with a dark inner border and is set within a broad black-finished moulded frame with a secondary inner border in a wood-grain finish. The reverse is sealed with a brown backing board and green tape, and is fitted with a hanging wire. Dimensions: approx. H 69.9 cm x W 81.3 cm (converted from approx. 27.5 in. x 32 in. as read from an imperial tape measure). Condition: The frame exhibits noticeable surface wear, including scuffs and paint loss at the corners and along the edges. The paper support shows light buckling near the top margin. The masking tape on the reverse is aged and partially detached.
