AVAILABLE for SHIPPING or LOCAL PICKUP > Images presents two aspects of -1- example/ A substantial five-tube copper wind chime measuring approximately 22" long hanging overall × 4" in diameter, with the longest tube measuring approximately 14.5". Each hollow tube measures approximately 3/4" in diameter, and the complete chime weighs just over 3 pounds. The five graduated copper tubes are suspended from a compact metal carriage at top, fitted with a hook finial for hanging. A flat, asymmetrically cut copper clapper hangs through the center, creating an abstract geometric form while striking the surrounding tubes as the chime moves. The combination of exposed metal, simple suspension wires, tubular construction, and sculptural clapper reflects the restrained organic modernism associated with mid-twentieth-century decorative design. Comparable five-tube copper and bronze chimes are dated to the 1950s and 1960s, though no maker or exact production date has been established for this example. The copper surfaces have developed a naturally varied patina with green verdigris, warm brown oxidation, spotting, and tonal changes from prolonged exposure. The weathered finish gives the piece strong visual character for a covered porch, garden room, courtyard, patio, sunroom, or Mid Century Modern interior. CONDITION REPORT > As discovered, not cleaned or altered ~ Along with typical and minor elements, exhibits oxidation, verdigris, surface marks, discoloration, all from outdoor exposure.
