AVAILABLE for SHIPPING or LOCAL PICKUP > A vintage solid wood child’s rocking chair measuring approximately 19" tall to the back × 13" wide across the arms, with rockers measuring approximately 20" long. The compact chair features a broad plank seat, rounded armrests, turned and tapered supports, a curved crest rail, lower back splat, front stretcher, and shaped runners. The chair retains a deep green enamel finish enriched with gold gilt pinstriping and hand painted floral decoration. Pink and red blossoms with leafy accents appear across the crest rail, lower back splat, seat front, and apron, while linear borders emphasize the architectural form. The decorative treatment recalls Pennsylvania Dutch and related American folk painted furniture traditions, though no documented regional origin or manufacturer has been established. The front stretcher bears a hand lettered name or inscription appearing to read ~ BIENTA. The attribution remains unclear to the estate and may represent the name of a child who originally owned the chair. CONDITON REPORT > Stable and solid ~ Perhaps typical and minor elements relative to age, use and materials ~ Overall, a nicely preserved example.
