A collection of bronze, tombac, and steel coinage from Canada and the United States. The group includes Canadian 1-cent pieces featuring maple leaf reverses dated between 1941 and 1968, alongside the 1867-1967 centennial rock dove issue. Obverses feature the portraits of King George VI and Queen Elizabeth II, with legends transcribed as GEORGIVS VI D:G:REX ET IND:IMP:, GEORGIVS VI DEI GRATIA REX, and ELIZABETH II D:G:REGINA. The collection further contains 12-sided Canadian 5-cent Victory type coins, including 1943 tombac and 1945 chrome-plated steel examples. US issues are represented by Lincoln wheat cents dated 1926 and 1946. Condition: The coins are in varied circulated condition, displaying wear to the higher points of relief and legends. Surfaces show a range of toning from natural copper red-brown to dark chocolate brown. Several pieces exhibit signs of environmental oxidation, verdigris, and surface pitting. A few later 1960s examples retain original mint luster.
