A collection of Canadian silver currency comprising quarters and dimes dated 1961 and 1968. The obverse of each coin features the portrait of Queen Elizabeth II with the legend ELIZABETH II D·G·REGINA. The 1961 issues depict the laureate bust by Mary Gillick, while the 1968 issues bear the tiara portrait by Arnold Machin. The 25-cent coins display the caribou reverse design, and the 10-cent coins feature the Bluenose schooner reverse. Both reverse types include the inscriptions CANADA, the date, and the denomination. These coins are struck in silver alloys, including .800 fine and .500 fine silver strikes. All coins in the group feature reeded edges. Condition: All coins are in circulated condition, exhibiting visible surface wear and contact marks. The 10-cent pieces display noticeable golden-brown peripheral toning. One 25-cent coin shows a significant circular area of dark oxidation or residue on the obverse portrait.
