A collection of silver 10-cent coins issued by Canada to commemorate the 1967 centennial of Confederation. These coins were struck in silver alloys of both .800 and .500 fineness during the commemorative year. The reverse features a specialized design by artist Alex Colville depicting a swimming mackerel fish, with the inscriptions 10 CENTS, CANADA, and the dual dates 1867-1967. The obverse displays the Arnold Machin effigy of Queen Elizabeth II facing right, surrounded by the legend ELIZABETH II D G REGINA. Each coin has a reeded edge. Condition: The coins are in circulated condition, displaying various degrees of surface wear, contact marks, and scratches consistent with handling. Toning varies throughout the collection; one specimen exhibits prominent multi-coloured iridescent toning on both faces, while another shows heavy, dark oxidation.
