A group of Canadian 80% silver 25-cent coins, identified as lot 278, issued for the Centennial of Confederation in 1967. The obverse features the second portrait of Queen Elizabeth II, with the legend ELIZABETH II D G REGINA. The reverse displays the bobcat design by Alex Colville, inscribed with 25 CENTS, CANADA, and the dual dates 1867-1967. The coins are finished with reeded edges. Condition: The coins exhibit moderate circulation wear to the high points of the design. Most specimens show light golden-yellow toning to the surfaces. One coin displays significant dark environmental damage and heavy oxidation on the reverse, which obscures the bobcat motif.
