A group of silver 25-cent coins issued by Canada to commemorate the centennial of Confederation. The obverse of each coin features the right-facing effigy of Queen Elizabeth II with the legend ELIZABETH II D G REGINA. The reverse displays a Canadian lynx in profile, a design by Alex Colville, flanked by the inscriptions 25 CENTS, CANADA, and the dual commemorative dates 1867-1967. The pieces are composed of 80% silver with reeded edges. Condition: Circulated. The surfaces show varying levels of wear consistent with light use. Several examples exhibit heavy, mottled toning and tarnish in shades of gold, amber, and dark grey.
