A pair of Canadian 50-cent coins dated 1966. These coins are struck in 80% silver with a .800 fineness. The obverse features the Arnold Machin portrait of Queen Elizabeth II, encircled by the Latin legend ELIZABETH II D G REGINA. The reverse displays the 1957 version of the Canadian Coat of Arms, inscribed with CANADA and 50 CENTS, with the date 1966 flanking the crown. A ribbon at the base of the design is inscribed with the motto A MARI USQUE AD MARE. Both coins feature reeded edges. Condition: Circulated. Both coins exhibit moderate surface wear and light bag marks. Patches of golden-brown toning are present on both the obverse and reverse of each coin. One coin displays a distinct dark spot of oxidation on the reverse field near the unicorn supporter.
