A group of CA 25-cent coins dated 1968. Struck in a 50% silver alloy, these specimens represent the transitional issue produced during the shift from silver to nickel coinage. The obverse features the Arnold Machin portrait of Queen Elizabeth II with the circumscribed legend ELIZABETH II D G REGINA. The reverse displays the caribou design by Emanuel Hahn, accompanied by the inscriptions CANADA, 25 cents, and the date 1968. Each coin is finished with a reeded edge. Condition: Circulated. The coins show light to moderate wear consistent with commercial use. Several specimens exhibit distinct golden-brown toning concentrated around the rims and peripheries.
