This group of Canadian silver coins consists of 10-cent denominations, struck in .800 fine silver. The assortment includes issues dated 1942, 1943, 1945, 1946, and 1947. The obverse of each coin features the uncrowned portrait of King George VI facing left, surrounded by the legend GEORGIVS VI D : G : REX ET IND : IMP :. The reverse depicts the schooner Bluenose at sea, inscribed with 10 CENTS and CANADA. The 1947 issues include the Maple Leaf variety, identified by the small symbol following the date. Each specimen has a reeded edge. Suggested reference (unverified): KM# 34. Condition: The coins are in circulated condition, displaying varying levels of wear to the high points of the design and fields. Heavy toning and dark tarnish are prominent on several pieces, most notably the 1942 and 1946 specimens. Surface contact marks and minor abrasions are present throughout the group.
