A collection of six Canadian silver 10-cent coins dating between 1939 and 1950. Struck in 800 fine silver, these coins feature reeded edges. The obverse of each coin bears the effigy of King George VI. Coins dated from 1939 to 1946 include the legend GEORGIVS VI D:G:REX ET IND:IMP:, while the 1950 example features the revised legend GEORGIVS VI DEI GRATIA REX. The reverse of all coins depicts the Bluenose schooner design flanked by the inscriptions CANADA and the date, with the denomination 10 CENTS at the base. Condition: This group is in circulated condition, exhibiting wear to the high points of the relief on both the obverse portraits and the reverse designs. Surface conditions vary across the collection; the 1942 and 1943 coins show iridescent toning, while the 1946 and 1950 examples display heavy environmental oxidation and dark surface deposits.
