A pair of Canadian 50-cent coins, also known as half dollars, dated 1962 and 1964. These coins are composed of 80% silver (.800 fine). The obverse of each coin features the laureate effigy of Queen Elizabeth II by Mary Gillick, with the surrounding legend ELIZABETH II DEI GRATIA REGINA. The reverse displays the 1957 modified version of the Coat of Arms of Canada, inscribed with CANADA and 50 CENTS alongside the year of mintage. The coins possess reeded edges. Condition: Both coins show signs of circulation, including light wear to the hair of the portrait and the details of the coat of arms. Surfaces exhibit scattered minor marks and abrasions. There is prominent peripheral toning in golden and dark grey colours on both the obverse and reverse of each coin.
