A pair of Canadian silver 50-cent coins dated 1964. These specimens are struck in .800 fine silver. The obverse features the laureate head portrait of Queen Elizabeth II. The reverse displays the 1957 modified version of the Canadian Coat of Arms. Inscriptions include the legend ELIZABETH II DEI GRATIA REGINA on the obverse and CANADA, 50 CENTS, 1964, and the motto A MARI USQUE AD MARE on the reverse. Both coins feature reeded edges. These were the final 50-cent coins struck for general circulation in 80% silver. Condition: Both coins appear in uncirculated condition with sharp strike details. One coin exhibits heavy iridescent and dark toning on both the obverse and reverse. The second coin shows light toning with scattered dark marks near the rim.
