A pair of Canadian silver 50-cent coins dated 1962 and 1963. These specimens are struck in .800 fine silver. The obverse of each coin features the laureate portrait of Queen Elizabeth II by Mary Gillick, surrounded by the Latin legend ELIZABETH II DEI GRATIA REGINA. The reverse of both coins displays the 1957 version of the Canadian Coat of Arms, including the crowned shield supported by a lion and a unicorn. The reverse design also includes the inscriptions CANADA and 50 CENTS alongside the year of issue. Both coins feature reeded edges. Condition: Both coins are in circulated condition with visible surface wear and numerous handling marks. The 1963 specimen shows significant yellow-toned oxidation and surface residue on the right-hand side of the reverse. The 1962 specimen exhibits a dark spot of corrosion or adhering foreign material on the reverse rim at the 8 o'clock position.
