Cream-glazed stoneware commemorative military beer stein standing approximately 8-1/2 inches high with a 4-inch diameter. The front features a hand-painted polychrome vignette depicting a Minenwerfer (trench mortar) crew within an oak leaf wreath. The inscription above reads "13. M.W. Hdstaff. L.P. Gruppe Nürnberg," identifying a specialized Imperial German Army trench mortar and listening detachment associated with Nürnberg, while the lower inscription "Erinnerung a. m. Dienstzeit" ("Remembrance of My Time in Service") commemorates military service. The original pewter hinged lid is surmounted by a Pickelhaube finial with an embossed laurel wreath band and retains its original thumb lift and hinge. The stein exhibits light glaze crazing, minor staining, small dents to the pewter mount, and scattered handling wear, with no visible structural cracks or repairs. Base markings and construction are consistent with Imperial German military presentation steins produced during the circa 1910-1918 period. Measures 7" tall, 4" wide, 5.5" deep including handle.
