Cream-glazed stoneware commemorative beer stein issued to the 6th Company, II Battalion, 19th Bavarian Infantry Regiment for Christmas 1929 during the Weimar Republic. The stein features a hand-painted polychrome design centered on a German Stahlhelm helmet above crossed rifles within the Bavarian blue-and-white shield, framed by oak leaves and laurel. The inscription reads "19. Bayr. Infanterie-Reg. II. Batl. 6. Komp." above the decoration and "Weihnachten 1929" below. The original pewter hinged lid is decorated in relief with oak leaf motifs and retains its original thumb lift. Condition shows several significant body cracks extending from the rim through the side wall, visible internally and externally with associated staining, along with pronounced glaze crazing and light handling wear. Despite the damage, the decoration remains vibrant and the stein retains its original lid and military presentation. Measures 6.5" tall, 3 3/4" in diameter and 5.5" deep including handle. BP/RC
