Each cap is constructed of green wool with light green piping, matching green chin cords, and includes the standardized East German insignia on the front. All three caps have interior sweatbands with minor loose stitching and demonstrate light storage wear. The interiors feature MdI labels, each indicating size 56, and production codes including 1856 M/S/O. These represent standard Cold War era officer headgear for the East German Volkspolizei, or People's Police, which operated under the Ministry of the Interior. Issued during the post-World War II years, between 1945 and 1950, this group reflects the reconstructed police structure of the early German Democratic Republic and the specific uniform regulations established during the early Cold War period.
