This garrison cap is constructed from dark blue wool and features a single gold-yellow corded piping along the top edge, a detail signifying affiliation with the US Army Air Forces during the World War II period. The interior is lined in blue cotton. The cap displays the iconic form used by enlisted airmen throughout the 1940s. A small hole is present on the left side near the edge seam, consistent with field or personal use. The design and color scheme correspond to standard-issue headgear authorized for aircrew and ground personnel. There are no visible maker's marks or date stamps inside the lining. There is a tear above the fold near the piping on the outside of the cap. SW
