Two East German Police officer visor caps constructed from green wool, both with light green piping along the crown and silver-colored chin cords. Each cap includes the post-war (1985) Crest of the East German People's Police (Volkspolizei) mounted on a silver-toned wreath badge at the front. The interiors are lined with gray synthetic material and each bears Ministry of the Interior (MdI) labels, marked for sizes 55 and 56, and additional codes including 1856 T and 1856 X. These represent standard Cold War-era officer headgear issued to the Volkspolizei under the Ministry of the Interior after 1945 and prior to the adoption of later uniform updates. Minor loose stitching is noted on sweatbands, along with light storage wear. The visors are finished in black plastic with silver button side attachments. SW
