Two standard officer service caps for the East German Air Force, known as the Luftstreitkräfte (LSK). Both are constructed from stone grey wool and feature distinct light blue piping along the crown and band, indicating their association with the LSK branch. Each cap is equipped with black plastic visors and brown synthetic leather sweatbands, marked inside with the designations NVA 56 1856 H and NVA 56 1856 P, denoting National People's Army issue and size. One cap retains its full silver-tone chincord and front insignia comprising a wreath and cockade emblem, while the other is missing all front insignia. Both dates and markings correspond to the post-war period, 1945-1950. The caps show typical signs of service use. SW
