Four gray ushanka-style winter fur caps 55% Polyester and 45% Wool, each bearing the distinctive DDR (East German) metal cockade badge. These were issued for cold-weather use by Grenztruppen der DDR, the East German Border Guard, during the post-war era between 1945 and 1950. Constructed with dense synthetic fur exteriors and padded cloth interiors, each cap displays NVA/MdI factory and size stamps on the lining. Various sizes are present in this lot. Items display the characteristic gray shade associated with East German military winter accoutrements and the cockade insignia reflecting organizational affiliation of the period. SW
