This expansive 9" x 13" photo album serves as a comprehensive visual archive of a German heavy artillery unit during WWII. Containing a remarkable 269 photographs—a blend of authentic period snapshots and archival reproductions—the album covers 22 double-sided pages. The content is technically rich, featuring high-detail imagery of field howitzers, complex horse-drawn limbers, and motorized heavy halftracks. Significant focus is given to the Eastern Front, with extensive sequences of batteries operating in extreme winter conditions. The collection is housed in its original geometric-patterned binder with cord-and-buckle closure. The Army (Heer) eagle is missing from the front cover. The sheer volume of imagery, ranging from candid field life to formal battery portraits and tactical deployments, makes this an invaluable primary source for the study of Wehrmacht artillery and logistics.
