This WWII commemorative photo album documents the training of a recruit in the 3rd Company, 2nd Naval Replacement Department (II. Marine-Ergänzungs-Abteilung) based in Wilhelmshaven, Germany. The 10.5" x 7.5" dark blue linen cover features a gold-leaf embossed Kriegsmarine eagle and unit designation. The 19 internal pages contain 45 high-contrast black-and-white photographs, including large-scale ceremonial events, recruit parades through Wilhelmshaven, and a notable image of Adolf Hitler’s motorcade during a base inspection. The album includes original tissue guards and the decorative braided cord binding. All photographs are professionally mounted and remain in excellent condition, providing a comprehensive visual record of naval induction and state ceremony at Germany's premier naval station. BP
