This West German Bundeswehr Heer service overcoat is constructed of field-gray wool in the regulation double-breasted pattern with wide peaked lapels, two lower flap pockets, and an integral rear half-belt secured by two buttons. The left sleeve bears the embroidered green-and-white Bundesadler (Federal Eagle) insignia identifying Bundeswehr Army service. The interior is fully lined and retains its original size tag marked "g 48", along with period depot and inventory markings, including a size marking of 59 within the sleeve. The overcoat remains in very good condition, exhibiting light storage wear and minor wrinkling to the lining while retaining its original shape and insignia. A well-preserved example of standard Bundeswehr cold-weather outerwear from the early Cold War era.
