This authentic West German Luftwaffe (Air Force) Unteroffizier's tunic is constructed of heavy gray wool with a green rayon lining. Produced in 1964, as indicated by the "sk 64" interior stamp and tag, the tunic features standard Cold War-era tailoring. The collar is fitted with silver-braided Unteroffizier rank tabs featuring two stylized gulls. The front is secured by four silver-toned pebbled buttons, complemented by four pleated pockets with scalloped flaps. The sleeves are finished with French cuffs highlighted by white piping. Interior details include a handwritten "Gebhardt" name tag and various depot/manufacturer stamps. This piece is a textbook example of the "first generation" style uniforms worn by the re-established German Air Force during the height of the Cold War. SC
