Postwar West German police service tunic attributed to the Baden-Württemberg Wasserschutzpolizei, or Water Police. Dark navy-blue uniform coat features green piping, green collar panels with gold trim, four pleated patch pockets, and gold-tone buttons. Insignia includes a shield-shaped anchor patch associated with the Wasserschutzpolizei, Baden-Württemberg state coat-of-arms devices displaying the three black Staufer lions, a winged state badge above the breast pocket, and a gold rank chevron on the sleeve. Likely dates from the mid-20th century, before Baden-Württemberg completed its transition to the standardized beige-and-green police uniform in 1979. Insignia configuration has not been independently verified and may warrant additional collector research. Displays light age-related wear and scattered surface lint. GE
