This ovoid urn-shaped vase is constructed of cobalt blue glazed ceramic with extensive 24 karat gold decoration. The piece features a central decorative frieze in the Neoclassical style, depicting a celebratory procession of figures inspired by ancient Greek pottery. The scene includes figures playing a lyre, dancing with veils, and carrying baskets of fruit or flowers. This central band is bordered above and below by thick gold bands and intricate foliate acanthus leaf scrollwork. The vase is designed with a flared mouth featuring a wide gilded rim and rests on a circular pedestal base with a gilded exterior. The underside of the base bears a mark in gold consisting of a stylized capital letter S enclosed within a rectangular Greek key border. To the right of the logo is the text HAND MADE IN GREECE 24 K GOLD. This mark identifies the manufacturer as Spyropoulos.Height: Approximately 10 inches (25.4 cm).The vase is in very good overall condition. There are no visible chips, cracks, or structural repairs.
