1960’s – 70’s California studio pottery features a heavily applied reactive drip glaze, the colors shift between seafoam green, ocean blue, and creamy tan, giving the piece the "jade" appearance the maker was famous for. Style # V 8. 8” tall x 7 1/2” wide. No chips or cracks. Markings: MONTEREY JADE USA 81 The glazed surface exhibits an overall pattern of fine, tight crazing consistent with age and the earthenware body. The underside of the base shows minor glaze skips and prominent stilt marks from the original firing process. No chips, structural cracks, or restorations are visible
