Chinese Cloisonne Enamel Jar and Cover

A Chinese cloisonne enamel jar of baluster form with a matching domed cover, presented on a dark-stained carved wooden stand. The exterior is decorated with large multi-petaled lotus blossoms rendered in white, blue, and yellow enamels, connected by an elaborate network of scrolling green vines and smaller floral buds in red and blue. The primary decoration is set against a dense, gilded scrolling wire-work ground. The shoulder features a decorative ruyi-head border, while the foot is finished with a scale-pattern border. The domed lid repeats the floral motif and is topped with a cast gilt-metal finial in the shape of a lotus bud. The interior of the lid is coated in bright turquoise enamel, and the underside of the base is finished in solid deep cobalt blue enamel. No maker marks or characters are present on the base.Total height on stand: 10.5 inchesJar height: 8.75 inches.The jar and cover appear to be in very good condition with no visible cracks, chips, or significant enamel loss. The gilt-metal surfaces of the finial and rims show minor, age-appropriate wear and light tarnishing. The carved wooden stand is intact with minor surface scuffs consistent with use.
