This lot comprises two vintage red metal childrens tricycles of mid-20th-century manufacture. The larger tricycle features a red pressed steel frame and a prominent front fender decorated with white lightning bolt graphics. It is identified by a decal on the head tube displaying the Foremost brand within a shield crest. The vertical support below the seat is marked Penneys with an upward-pointing arrow, indicating its retail distribution through the J.C. Penney chain. The construction includes chrome-plated handlebars with ribbed brown plastic grips, a metal rear step platform, and metal spoked wheels fitted with solid rubber tyres. The second tricycle is of Canadian origin, featuring a tubular metal frame and a metal head badge for Werlich Manufacturing Limited. It is equipped with solid red metal disc wheels, rubber tyres, a metal seat, and handlebars with black textured grips. Dimensions: Foremost tricycle height approx. 23.5 inches (measured against a visible tape measure; inches scale only) Werlich tricycle length approx. 22.5 inches (measured against a visible tape measure; inches scale only). Condition: Both items exhibit significant signs of age and historical play wear. There is widespread paint loss, surface oxidisation, and pitting to the metal components, particularly visible on the wheel spokes and chrome handlebars of the Foremost tricycle. The Werlich tricycle is missing the rubber sleeve on one pedal, leaving the metal core exposed. The solid rubber tyres show heavy wear and surface cracking consistent with age.
