A vintage treadle sewing machine produced by The Singer Manufacturing Company. The item features a black enamelled cast-iron machine head decorated with gold-tone filigree decals, mounted within a wooden cabinet. The cabinet includes two drawers on each side and a central drop-leaf compartment for the machine head. The base is constructed from cast iron and includes a treadle foot pedal embossed with the Singer name. A brass oval badge on the machine head is embossed with the characters The Singer Manfg. Co. and Trade Mark around a central S logo. A metal serial number plate on the base of the machine head bears the identification JB898261. The lot includes a green instruction booklet titled Instructions for using and adjusting Singer Sewing Machine 107w100. Condition: The item shows signs of age and use throughout. The wooden cabinet surfaces exhibit scratches, minor indentations, and a separation at a join on the tabletop. The machine head retains some original decals, though wear and surface grime are present. The cast-iron treadle base shows typical dust and light oxidation. The drive belt is present but its integrity is unverified. The mechanical functionality of the machine and treadle remains untested.
