17 Pcs NORITAKE GREENWOOD PORCELAIN CHINA SERVICE

Updated September 24, 2026

AVAILABLE FOR SHIPPING or LOCAL PICKUP > Seventeen-piece grouping of vintage Noritake fine china in the Greenwood pattern, No. 5769, produced in Japan during the mid-20th century. Greenwood presents delicate trailing ivy and vine designs in layered shades of forest green, gray and brown against a translucent white china ground. Fine silver-tone borders follow the rims, with distinctive triple-line decoration accentuating the sculpted handles of the serving pieces. The restrained botanical decoration and cool metallic trim reflect the elegant table settings favored during the postwar period, while the inclusion of two sizable serving pieces makes this a useful expansion group for an existing Greenwood service. Illustrated underside mark incorporates the Noritake wreath and M emblem and reads NORITAKE CHINA ~ JAPAN ~ 5769 ~ GREENWOOD ~ U.S. DESIGN PAT. PEND. 1 > One large oval handled serving platter measuring 13.75" x 10.25", decorated with trailing ivy sprays around the border and within the central well. Sculpted handles are accented with three parallel silver-tone lines. 2 > One deep oval handled vegetable serving bowl measuring 10.5" x 7.5" x 2.25", carrying the same ivy decoration and triple-striped silver-tone handles. 3 > Four matching saucers accompanied by two footed cups. The cups feature flared bodies, delicate ivy decoration continuing into the interiors and silver-tone rims and handles. 4 > Seven bread-and-butter or side plates, each measuring 6.25" in diameter. 5 > Two salad or dessert plates, each measuring 8.25" in diameter. CONDITION REPORT > Overall, a well preserved group of dinnerware.
