AVAILABLE for SHIPPING or LOCAL PICKUP > Measuring 72" square, this vintage homemade handsewn quilt is assembled in a colorful patchwork arrangement of rectangular and square fabric sections, combining solid colors with a varied selection of printed cotton fabrics. Colors include orange, yellow, green, purple, white, pink and light green, together with plaid, floral, abstract and dark patterned fabric panels. Several printed sections incorporate bold orange and pink imagery, while others feature small-scale florals, geometric designs and multicolor plaid. The quilt top is arranged in an informal staggered block composition rather than a rigid repeating pattern, giving the piece a distinctly homemade character. Hand stitching and quilting are visible throughout, with closely spaced horizontal quilting lines running across the individual sections. The outer edge is finished with narrow floral print binding incorporating red, blue, yellow and green flowers against a light ground. The reverse is backed in a coordinating vintage floral fabric with scattered red, blue and yellow flowers and green foliage on a white background. The combination of mixed fabrics, hand construction, floral backing and irregular patchwork arrangement gives the quilt the appearance of a practical homemade textile assembled from assorted available fabrics rather than a commercially produced pattern quilt.
