AVAILABLE for SHIPPING or LOCAL PICKUP ~ SEE TIMEPIECE DISCLAIMER BELOW > A handmade needlepoint or counted cross-stitch textile clock presented within a well made natural wood shadow-box style frame, measuring 12" x 9" x 3" deep, fitted with a glass panel front. The textile face is worked with floral and scroll decoration surrounding the Roman and Arabic-style hour numerals, centered by black clock hands and bordered below with the stitched sentiment ~ Friendship warms the heart. The lower right is stitched PB 86, indicating a 1986 date and likely the initials of the maker. The textile work is mounted over a firm backing and fitted with a battery-operated quartz clock mechanism, creating a decorative folk-art style wall timepiece with considerable handmade character. A new battery has been installed and the mechanism is functioning; however, the clock does not appear to be maintaining exact time. CONDITION REPORT > As discovered, not cleaned or altered. Clock mechanism is functioning with a new battery, although accurate timekeeping has not been established.
