AVAILABLE FOR SHIPPING or LOCAL PICKUP > A substantial Le Creuset square stoneware baking dish measuring about 8" square x 2" deep, formed with softly rounded corners, broad integrated side handles and a warm brown glazed finish. The square baker is designed for practical oven-to-table use, with deep sidewalls suited for casseroles, brownies, cobblers, baked pasta, roasted vegetables, gratins and other baked dishes. Le Creuset’s comparable 8" square stoneware baker is identified as a 2-quart form, giving this piece useful capacity without the bulk of a larger casserole. Le Creuset stoneware is made for even heat distribution and strong heat retention, helping food cook uniformly while remaining warm for serving. The glazed surface is non-porous, resists staining and flavor absorption, and is designed for freezer, oven, microwave, broiler and dishwasher use. The underside is impressed LE CREUSET ~ 09.34, the latter representing the production date code associated with manufacture during the 34th week of 2009. Le Creuset was founded in northern France in 1925, originally becoming famous for colorful enameled cast-iron cookware before expanding into stoneware and other kitchen products. The company’s bakeware continues the same emphasis on durable construction, strong color and cookware intended to move directly from preparation and baking to table service.
