RCBS 6.5mm-06 2 Die Full Length Set 27801

An RCBS full length die set for 6.5mm-06, part number 27801, Group D, calling for shell holder number 3, in the green RCBS box. Both dies are stamped RCBS 6.5-06. The set holds the full length sizing die with its decapping rod and expander ball and the bullet seating die. The 6.5mm-06 is a wildcat built by necking a 30-06 case down to 264 caliber, and it throws long heavy 6.5mm bullets fast and flat with modest recoil. It has a loyal following among handloaders who wanted 6.5 performance long before the Creedmoor arrived. Because the round was never a factory offering, RCBS built these as Group D custom dies, which cost more new and are much harder to find used than a common chambering. Condition is excellent. Both dies are bright with clean threads and no rust or pitting and the adjustments move freely. The green box and label are intact with light shelf wear.
