A trio of mid-20th-century publications comprising one hardcover literary reference volume and two softcover historical and topographical works. The primary item is a hardcover edition of Masterpieces of World Literature in Digest Form, edited by Frank N. Magill with the assistance of Dayton Kohler and staff, featuring an introduction by Clifton Fadiman. Published by Harper and Brothers, New York, the work contains plot summaries for 510 famous novels, plays, tales, and epic poems. The volume is housed in its original red and white pictorial dust jacket. The second item is a softcover topography book titled Kent Coast and Countryside, identified as No. 11 of The Homeland Illustrated series. Published by The Homeland Association Ltd., London, the copyright page indicates a first publication date of 1929. The front cover features a black-and-white illustration of Canterbury Cathedral. The third item is an Illustrated Album of the League of Nations, printed by ATAR in Geneva. This light blue softcover booklet provides a photographic and textual history of the origin and growth of the League. The front cover features a contemporary handwritten ink inscription: E.M.
