This lot features two commemorative medals issued for the Canadian National Exhibition (CNE) Chorus in Toronto, dated 1926 and 1927. Both medals were manufactured by Trophy-Craft and are associated with conductor Dr. Herbert Austin Fricker. The 1926 medal is struck in bronze-toned metal and features a foliated border of maple leaves surrounding a central design of a harp overlaying an open musical score. The reverse is inscribed with the names of conductor Dr. H.A. Fricker and managing director John G. Kent, along with the dates of August 28th to September 11th. The 1927 medal is an oval bronze-toned commemorative for the Diamond Jubilee of Canadian Confederation. The obverse features the 1921 version of the Canadian Coat of Arms in blue, red, and white enamel. The reverse is inscribed with event details and the dates of August 27th to September 10th. Approximate height of 1926 medal (including jump ring): 2.1 inches Approximate height of 1927 medal (including jump ring): 1.75 inches. Condition: Both medals are in good vintage condition, exhibiting a natural aged patina and minor surface wear consistent with age. The enamel on the 1927 medal remains vibrant and largely intact. Both pieces retain their original circular jump rings.
