An assortment of vintage color printed postcards, primarily dating from the mid-20th century linen era. The collection includes various scenes from Nassau, Bahamas, such as Princes Street showing the Kirk, Market Street, Victoria Avenue, Paradise Bathing Beach, and the Silk Cotton Tree. Several cards depict local life in Nassau, including traveling saleswomen carrying turkeys and fruit baskets, and donkey carts titled Three Natives and Two Natives. Western United States locations feature a California orange grove and poinsettia field, as well as New Mexico landscapes including Mesa Encantada and Navajo Church Rock near Gallup. Also included is a view of Avalanche Lilies and the Tatoosh Range in Rainier National Park and a botanical study of a Century Plant in bloom. Identified publishers include Sands Studio of Nassau and J.R. Willis of New Mexico. Several cards bear Curt Teich production codes, such as 1A-H427 and 1A-H483. The cards feature a textured finish typical of the period and have divided backs. Dimensions approx. 3.5 inches x 5.5 inches. Condition: The postcards are in generally good vintage condition with minor corner and edge wear. Light foxing and yellowing are present consistent with age. The cards are unposted and unused, though one card features a small pencil inscription on the lower front margin.
