A mid-19th century miniature volume titled Aunt Rose and Her Nieces, published by Merriam, Moore & Co. of Troy, New York, as part of the Tiny Library series. The book is bound in red cloth with gilt-stamped decorative borders and a central star motif on the front cover, accompanied by the series title. The rear cover features the same design in blind-stamped relief. The spine is lettered in gilt with the title. The text block is finished with a gilt top edge. The front flyleaf contains a handwritten ink inscription of the name Eliza. Dimensions: approx. H 6.4 cm (2.5 inches) (measured against a ruler). Condition: The cloth covers show wear and rubbing to the corners and spine ends. The gilt lettering on the spine is heavily faded. The gilt decoration on the front cover remains partially bright but shows some loss. The title page and visible internal pages exhibit prominent foxing and age-toning. An ownership inscription in ink is present on the front flyleaf.
