A two-piece dresser or vanity set consisting of a shoehorn and a nail file. The set features sterling silver handles with steel implements. The handles are decorated in the Neoclassical style with vertical fluted ribbing and a chased decorative motif of a laurel wreath tied with a bow at the terminal ends. The silver handles bear English hallmarks including a lion passant for sterling fineness and an anchor for the Birmingham assay office. The maker's mark is stamped as S & G within a rectangular shield (recheck), and a lowercase date letter g is present (recheck). The word STERLING is also stamped on the handles, and the steel shoehorn blade is marked MADE IN ENGLAND. Weight: 98 grams (gross weight) Shoehorn length: approx. 19.7 cm Nail file length: approx. 16.5 cm. Condition: Both items exhibit surface wear, light scratches, and minor tarnishing consistent with age and use. The steel implements remain in good functional condition.
