A collection of technical and financial reference volumes from the early-to-mid 20th century. The primary volume is a First Edition, Seventh Printing (Seventy-fifth Thousand) of Steel Construction, published by the American Institute of Steel Construction, Inc. in April 1930. This manual was prepared under Chief Engineer Lee H. Miller and features a black textured buckram binding with gilt-stamped lettering on the front cover. The group also includes A Text Book for Stationary Engineers by W. G. Beaver, P.Eng., bound in light blue cloth with blue titles; Superheat Engineering Data published by Elesco (The Superheater Company) in a light green cloth binding; and a softcover pamphlet titled Steam Tables: Properties of Saturated and Superheated Steam, also published by Elesco/The Superheater Company, Limited, and Combustion Engineering Corporation Limited, with locations listed in Montreal, Toronto, Winnipeg, and Vancouver. Completing the set is a brown textured hardcover titled Tables of Bond Values Yielding 5% to 8%. Dimensions (measured against a ruler): A Text Book for Stationary Engineers: H approx. 20 cm Steel Construction: H approx. 19 cm. Condition: The collection shows wear consistent with age and industrial use. The Tables of Bond Values volume has significant loss to the head of the spine and the upper edge of the front cover. The other volumes show moderate shelf wear to corners and spine ends, with some light soiling and fading to the cloth covers. The gilt lettering on the AISC volume is largely intact but shows minor rubbing. The Steam Tables pamphlet shows light creasing and toning to the wraps. No dust jackets are present.
